Terry Frost, with printers Hugh Stoneman and Alan Cox at Stoneman Graphics, created in 1999 this masterpiece 'Orchard Tambourines' (now often referenced as 'Orchard Tambourines A' following the creation of the two sequels 'Orchard Tambourines B' and 'Orchard Tambourines C' in 2002). Produced as a numbered edition of 35, with a further 6 Artists proofs, 1 Printers proof and 1 'BAT' proof, this artwork rarely appears on the secondary market. The 25 woodcuts have been mounted behind a huge piece of 1.9m x 1.9m Anti Reflective / UV protective museum acrylic in the same 5 x 5 formation as set out in the Kemp catalogue raisonee as per the original order devised by Terry Frost (although he did declare that the ordering was a personal preference and could be changed at the behest of the viewer). The outcome is a wall of beautiful saturated colours with minimal interference from unwanted reflections. If you can find somewhere to fit this, you will not regret it. Number 15 from the edition is held by the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.
