Evening Menu was one of a series of six screenprints produced by Patrick Caulfield in 1975. Each depicted a similar scene, with different foreground objects, in differing colours. Evening Menu is arguably the stand out best of the six and you can see why it was chosen to grace the cover of the Cristea catalogue raisonee of Patrick Caulfield prints. Unfortunately, photos of this one rarely do it justice - in particular the iridescent setting sun as it drops behind the red branches is just wonderful. In our view, one of the best Caulfield prints.
